During the implementation of the project for the design and manufacture of non-standard forms for concreting reinforced concrete products at the Novovoronezh NPP, PBS engineers developed a hydraulic mold for concreting a through rectangular pipe at a time, without the formation of working joints. The outer wall of the formwork is fixed on a single movable frame controlled by a hydraulic system. At the moment of concreting, hydraulics completely closes the form, bringing it exactly to the design size, then concreting takes place.

When stripping, external hydraulic cylinders are activated, which remove the walls from the concrete surface by 800 mm. Then the hydraulics switch to the inner core mode, the pumping station pressurizes the system with oil and the inner formwork unit folds down by 100 mm on each side. Next, a transport frame is put under the core and, with the help of jacks, rolls it out to the intermediate parking place. Then the finished product is removed from the form.
